These marks are natural just like moles, freckles or stretch marks which people have. The toys are coated with water based varnish which keeps the natural pattern of the wood and preserves its tactility. All their toys are pleasant to touch and attractive to look at.
Care: Wipe clean before first use. Clean with a damp cloth and air dry away from heaters as can cause wood to crack. Warning: Do not use disinfectants, detergents and hot water.
