New Montessori Materials
Recently when We conducted some market research with our existing and new customer base there was a noticeable demand for more Montessori materials and specifically Arabic and Islamic Montessori materials.
The Montessori way of learning is a style I have respected and dabbled with in my own children's home education. It encourages independent learning of the child, helping them develop specific skills. I've found that there are many Montessori materials aimed at the Early Years, but few for older children.
This is why I was so happy to finally bring Kiddywood Montessori materials here to the UK, after using them myself when living in the Middle East.
The family behind Kiddywood found there was a lack of suitable Montessori materials where they lived in Egypt and decided to learn the skills to create their own and from this their business concept grew. They now create a variety of Montessori materials in Arabic, English and bilingual design.

New Block Sets
Fun fact; I have always loved architecture from an early age and enjoyed studying it and exploring it where ever I travel.
So naturally I love wooden block sets inspired by architecture.
This new range is from Sabo Concept in Ukraine, created by couple Elena and Dmitriy.
"SABO concept products are not just something to look at, but something to feel. We balanced tendencies of the past and present. Our concept manifests minimalism, simplicity and, at the same time, sophistication of lines and colours". - Sabo Concept.
These new sets are inspired by fairy tale castles, Italian seaside towns and Ukraine's own culture and towns.
Next month we will be adding more of their wonderful toys to our collection.
For now you can explore and shop here....
Why I choose wood over plastic
Wooden toys offer a level of safety superior to plastic alternatives. They're free from harmful chemicals making them ideal for children who explore the world through touch and taste.
Wood is naturally durable and won't break into small, choking hazards, giving you peace of mind during playtime.
I also love the tactile experience of wooden toys. It creates a calming effect that plastic simply cannot match. The smooth, warm texture in a child's hands encourages mindful, focused play rather than overstimulation.
Combined with their exceptional durability—wooden toys withstand years of use and I hope, can be passed down through siblings—they represent a thoughtful investment in both your child's wellbeing and the environment.
