Have you ever heard of the Mariana Trench? How deep is it? Where is it? How did man get to it? What is inside of the objects? And how do you live in a temperature that is close to freezing and reaches 2 degrees Celsius?
This Montessori inspired Ocean Layers set comes with a wooden ocean layers puzzle with removable depth pieces painted in shades of blue, which go darker with depth. Engraved down the right side of the puzzle is the depths of each layer in metres and around the board you will find engraved different world structures and their heights to compare.
Included with the puzzle is a wooden box containing 22 wooden marine creatures, printed with their image, as well as wooden labels for the different parts of the ocean geography. You will also find enclosed two A4 infographic sheets; one depicting the different marine creatures with their names and the other with the image of the ocean layers correctly labelled for margin of error.
Size: Puzzle 30 x 25 x 1 cm, box 16.8 x 10 x 6.7 cm, wooden labels 6 x 3 cm and 11 x 4 cm, marine creatures vary in size from 4 x 2 - 14.5 x 5 cm.
Care: Wipe clean before first use. Clean with a damp cloth and air dry away from heaters as can cause wood to crack. Warning: Do not use disinfectants, detergents and hot water as it will remove the colour stain.
